Type 4 hair is strands that form either an S or a zig-zag pattern, fragile, dry, and prone to breakage. Type 4 hair is classified into three categories: 4A, 4B, and 4C.
4A-Consists of an S-pattern when stretched, dense with a larger, visible, curly pattern.
4B-Consists of hair strands that are Z- shaped with less defined curls unless manipulated and prone to dryness due to coily texture.
4C-Consists of hair strands that are very tightly coiled zig-zag pattern, dense, prone to shrinkage and dryness due to tightly coiled texture.
